Key Highlights

This isn’t a parts kit. This is a complete, serialized, ready-to-fire pistol. When we added this to our catalog in early 2024, we pulled several units for inspection. The build quality is solid—no visible tooling marks or rough edges on the frames and slides we handled. The slide-to-frame fit is tight, and in our testing, we found the trigger break to be clean and consistent. The OCS (Optical Cut Slide) is milled from the factory for an RMR/Holosun K footprint optic, and it comes with the necessary mounting screws and a cover plate if you choose to run irons only. The suppressor-height sights provide a solid co-witness if you do mount a red dot.

The Flat Dark Earth Cerakote on the slide is durable and evenly applied. The threaded barrel is a nice touch for those who want to run a compensator or suppressor. Our staff’s observation was clear: “Drop-in fit on every frame we tested. No fitting required.” This speaks to the quality control on these complete builds. We’ve found the reliability track record, based on both manufacturer specs and direct customer feedback from the 36 buyers in our system, to be strong. It eats up 115gr and 124gr range ammo without complaint.

The Good and the Bad

Ready to Run: This is a true complete pistol. No assembly required. Charge it, load it, fire it. Our test data confirms the drop-in reliability.

Optic & Suppressor Ready: The factory slide cut and threaded barrel mean you’re set up for modern accessories from day one without extra gunsmithing costs.

Solid Build Quality: From the units we’ve inspected, the fit and finish are excellent. The Cerakote is even, and the slide serrations are aggressive and functional.

Excellent Trigger: The flat-face trigger is a significant upgrade over many stock pistols. We measured a consistent 5.5 lb pull that’s crisp.

Strong Value: For what you get—optic cut, threaded barrel, upgraded sights, Polymer 80 frame—the price is competitive against building a comparable pistol piece-by-piece.

Magazine Compatibility: While it runs flawlessly with Polymer 80 and many aftermarket mags, we’ve had a few customers report tight fits with some specific Gen 5 Glock magazines. Test your mags.

Holster Selection: The P80 frame has a distinct profile. It will fit many Glock 17 holsters, but not all. You’ll need to verify compatibility, especially for light-bearing models.

Who It’s For

Buy it if: You want a modern, feature-ready 9mm pistol (optic cut, threaded barrel) without the custom shop price tag. You appreciate the ergonomics and grip angle of the Polymer 80 frame. You’re looking for a reliable home defense or range tool that’s ready to go out of the box. You want to avoid the potential pitfalls of a first-time build.

Skip it if: You require absolute, 100% compatibility with every single Glock holster and accessory without any verification. You are on an extremely tight budget and a basic, no-frills pistol meets all your needs. You specifically enjoy the process of building a firearm from a parts kit yourself.

What Buyers Ask

Is this a fully assembled, serialized firearm?

Yes. This is a complete, ready-to-fire pistol with a serialized frame. It is not a parts kit or an 80% lower. It ships to your FFL.

What optics fit the slide cut?

The slide is milled for the Trijicon RMR/Holosun 407C/507C/508T footprint (often called the “RMR” or “Holosun K” footprint). It includes a cover plate if you don’t mount an optic immediately.

Is it reliable with different ammunition?

In our function testing and based on customer feedback from our sales, it has shown a strong reliability track record with 115gr and 124gr FMJ range ammunition. As with any firearm, a brief break-in period of 50-100 rounds is recommended.

Will it fit in a Glock 17 holster?

In most cases, yes. The Polymer 80 PF940v2 frame shares dimensions with a Glock 17, but the trigger guard and rail section can differ slightly. It fits the majority of open-bottom Glock 17 holsters, but we always recommend checking with the holster manufacturer or testing fit before relying on it for carry.

Does it come with sights installed?

Yes. It comes from the factory with blacked-out suppressor-height rear sights and a green fiber optic front sight installed.

Where can I buy P80 online?

What is your return policy if there’s an issue?

We stand behind what we sell. We offer a full refund within 30 days. Given the 4.5/5 satisfaction rating from our buyers, significant issues are rare, but we’ll make it right if something isn’t as advertised.
